Privacy Policy
1. Overview & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Flarchive (“we”, “our”, or the “Archive”) handles visitor information when you browse our website (flarchive.huseyinfiliz.com).
The Archive is dedicated to the preservation of open-source Flarum extensions. Because the Archive operates as a static, read-only library, we collect only the minimal data necessary to maintain service performance, monitor traffic volume, and protect the infrastructure against abuse.
2. Analytics & Performance Metrics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analysis service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors interact with the catalog and documentation.
The Google Analytics tracking tag (G-G4HRC1R1Y4) collects aggregated and pseudonymized statistics, which may include:
- Pages viewed, referral URLs, and navigation flows within the catalog.
- Date, time, and duration of visits.
- Approximate geographic location (country and city level; IP addresses are masked/anonymized by default in GA4 and not permanently stored).
- Technical attributes such as device type, screen resolution, operating system, and browser version.
We do not collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, postal addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses through our analytics integration. Analytics data is solely used to gauge archive demand, evaluate server scaling requirements, and improve directory usability.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
When accessing the website, small data items may be stored on your client device:
-
Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics): GA4 may set first-party cookies (such as
_gaand_ga_*) to distinguish unique web browser sessions across page views. -
Local Storage (Theme Preference): We store your chosen color mode preference (
flarchive_theme: light or dark) directly in your browser’slocalStorage. This data never leaves your device, is not sent to any remote server, and is used solely to prevent theme flickering on page reload.
4. No Accounts or User Registration
Flarchive has no user login, user accounts, commenting forms, payment processors, or marketing mailing lists. You can browse, inspect releases, and download archived snapshots completely anonymously without registering or identifying yourself.
5. Third-Party Services & External Links
Our static pages reference or link to trusted third-party resources:
- GitHub: Links to our GitHub organization (github.com/flarchive) and individual extension snapshot repositories are governed by GitHub’s Privacy Statement.
- Google Tag Manager / Google Fonts: Web fonts and analytics scripts are served via Google infrastructure. Details on Google’s handling of data can be reviewed at Google Privacy & Terms.
- Packagist & Upstream Sources: Metadata links to Packagist.org or original author repositories are provided for attribution and context only.
6. Your Choices & Opt-Out
You have multiple ways to control or disable tracking and analytics:
- Browser Cookie Controls: You can configure your browser to block, reject, or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
- Do Not Track (DNT) / Global Privacy Control (GPC): We support browser privacy signals designed to limit tracking.
- Google Analytics Opt-Out: Google provides a free browser add-on to prevent GA data collection across all websites: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
7. Updates & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in infrastructure, legal requirements, or archival practices. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” timestamp.
If you have questions about privacy, data collection, or wish to request data removal regarding an archived repository, please consult our Policy (Section 9: Takedown requests) or contact:
